During his more than 35 years in the food service business, he has owned and operated several businesses, including Mr. Bill’s Cheese Steaks, a full time food concession that he operated at carnivals and fairs up and down the East Coast, and as a partner in the S L Fingers Restaurant. In addition to the Farmers Market operation, he operates Mr. Bill’s concessions at Musikfest, Celtic Fest and many other local public events featuring his specialty poultry products for fair goers.

Red Barn Produce

The long standing tradition of selling locally sourced produce started in Diane's childhood as she sold produce door to door with her father, Donald Kunkle. He grew produce and bought from other local farmers. In 1985, Donald opened Kunkle's Farm Stand, at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market. He ran the stand with his wife & 2 daughters, Sheila & Diane, and his future son-in-law, Roger Billig. Roger was a hard worker and learned the business quickly. After his marriage to Diane, Roger assumed ownership from her retiring father and changed the name to Red Barn Produce. 
  Roger poured heart and soul into his business, taking pride in bringing the best quality produce to his customers, for the past 27 years with his best friend, Kirk. After his passing in 2018, Kirk, Diane & her sons carried on the legacy. Diane & Caleb wake up before sunrise to select our produce, from local farms & orchards, to across the country. 
  Our goal at Red Barn is to provide the best quality, (seasonally homegrown), produce "just like Pappy used to grow", treating our customers like family with personal service. Charlie K's Pizza has been a staple since the beginning at the fairgrounds. Charlie K’s has become legendary for its take home “Pizza Kitz.” They've been used for everything from fundraisers, to pizza parties, to family Pizza Nights for Allentonians - for decades. The Recipe and ingredients for the Kits are exactly the same as the pizza served at this stand for nearly 40 years. Of course, like any great pizza, it's all in the recipe, and that's going to stay our secret. A Pizza Kit includes three 12-inch shells, a pint of sauce, and a package of specialty-blended cheeses.
